President, CEO and Director
Mr. Williams brings more than 15 years of mining and finance industry experience. His diverse work experience includes roles in corporate development, as a sell-side research analyst, in fund management and most recently as managing director of investment banking focused on the metals and mining sector. In each of these roles, he focused a significant amount of time on the exploration industry. As a research analyst at Westwind Partners, Mr. Williams worked with a team that covered a range of commodities including precious and base metals, diamonds and uranium. In late 2008, he joined Pinetree Capital, a natural resource focused investment fund, in the role of VP Business Development. During his time there, he was responsible for analyzing and monitoring investments and was also appointed to the board of directors of several investee companies. In 2012, he joined Dundee Capital Markets (now Eight Capital) in the investment banking group. As a Managing Director, he successfully completed equity financings across a wide range of commodities and was a named advisor on multiple M&A transactions.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Duras is a senior executive with over 23 years of experience working in the resource sector in corporate development, financial management and cost control positions. He’s held the position of CFO at several publicly traded companies, including Savary Gold Corp., Nordic Gold Corp and Avion Gold Corp., and spearheaded large corporate financings. He is currently the CFO of Emerita Resources Ltd. and Red Pine Exploration Inc. Mr. Duras holds a Bachelor of Administration degree from Lakehead University and completed his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 1998.
Vice President Business Development
Mr. Mullens is a very experienced geologist with 35 years’ experience across a wide range of commodities and countries. He worked as a mine geologist at Broken Hill Australia from 1983 to 1987 then with Mt Isa Mines in Queensland from 1987 thru 1997. In this role he was district manager for firstly Argentina then Central America from 1994 thru to 1997 exploring for gold and base metals. Following this he was based in Lima Peru and consulted to the mining industry.
Mr. Mullens joined Laramide Resources and Aquiline Resources in 2002. Both companies were successful with Mr. Mullens being responsible for the acquisition of key projects in Argentina for Aquiline which subsequently led to the buyout by Pan American Silver in 2009 for CAD $645 million. At Laramide he was VP Exploration and a Director playing a key role in helping to identify and acquire the Westmoreland and Homestake projects in Queensland and the USA respectively. Laramide was ranked the #1 company on the TSX venture exchange in 2005. Mr. Mullens was also a founder and director of Lydian Resources which discovered the 5 million-ounce Amulsar gold deposit located in Armenia and is currently under construction.
